Eng. Francesca Bozzoni is Senior Researcher at the European Centre for Training and Research in Earthquake Engineering, Eucentre (Pavia, Italy), where she works since 2009.
Graduated from the Polytechnic University of Milan, she has gained ten-year experience in the field of geotechnical earthquake engineering, engineering seismology, and soil dynamics thanks to the active involvement in numerous national and international research projects.
Currently, she works on the development of GIS (Geographic Information System) platforms for the assessment of the seismic-geotechnical risk of strategic infrastructures, in particular maritime ports, airports and embankment dams. Moreover, she is the contact person for Eucentre of the European research LIQUEFACT project on the assessment and mitigation of liquefaction potential across Europe.
After recent earthquakes, she carried out reconnaissance surveys of induced damage and technical support for emergency management; since 2016, she is regular member of Geotechnical Extreme Events Reconnaissance (GEER) Association.
Eng. Bozzoni is author/co-author of more than 40 scientific publications.
