Ali Güney Özcebe holds a degree in civil engineering (BSc, 2007) and a specialization in geotechnics (MSc, 2009), both obtained from the Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara. Between the years 2009 – 2013, he attended the PhD program in Earthquake Engineering at the UME School of Pavia. After he finished his doctorate, he participated in research and teaching activities at Politecnico di Milano and the University of Pavia. Since 2020, he has been working as a researcher at the EUCENTRE Foundation. His main research interests include numerical analysis of geotechnical systems (also taking into account the soil-structure interaction), methods for the dynamic identification of soils and structures, and applied seismology.
