On 25 March, the Eucentre Foundation hosted an official visit from the Prefect of Pavia, Dr Francesca De Carlini, accompanied by the Vice-Prefect, Dr Giuseppe Sinacori.
During the meeting, the representatives of the Prefecture visited the Foundation’s facilities and laboratories, coming into direct contact with our research, experimentation and training activities in the field of seismic risk reduction. The mission of the organisation and its essential role on the national and international scene were illustrated, with particular reference to the scientific and technical contribution offered in support of civil protection, institutions and society.
The meeting was an essential opportunity for discussion and dialogue between the world of research and local institutions, strengthening the bond between the Foundation and the local community.
Prof. Riccardo Pietrabissa, President of the Eucentre Foundation, Prof. Rui Pinho, Vice President, and Fabio Germagnoli, General Manager, attended the meeting.
